Winter Tour Agenda: This is it!
Here it is - the schedule for our Winter Tour: Frozen on the Farm! coming up this Saturday, February 23:
4pm: Introductions and an excellent meal from Daddy's Main Street featuring Clarion Farms Beef (of course!)
4:10 - 5pm: We'll stay warm in the Beef Barn (our store) while you dine and I talk about our farm, our beef, and what it takes to get an honest steak on your plate. Understanding the local food cycle and how it affects our economy is vital to the future of better food.
5pm - 6pm: We're heading out to feed calves and investigate our specialty grain-fed beef production. You'll be hard pressed to find a more unique system anywhere, and the quality of this craft beef speaks for itself!
6-6:15pm: Warm up in the Beef Barn! (if necessary).
6:15 - ?: Short, 1 mile drive to the pastures for a look at our grass fed beef production. Quite the opposite of our grain finished beef, these animals never receive anything other than grass and hay. We'll unroll a bale for the animals and talk about the mobile management system we utilize. This will be an excellent opportunity for photos!
? Return to the farm for a bonfire.
That's it! Three hours of up close, hands on learning about good food and community connections. We can't wait for the day!
