A precursor to Farm Dog Friday: Farm Update!
Another update (Farm Dog Friday will follow later today, don't worry!):
Our Core Goods beef delivery today has been rescheduled for next Friday, March 27, because we don't have any extra beef to sell. We sent additional cattle to help fill the void, so more beef will be on the shelves next week.
Yes, I'm coming to Pittsburgh tomorrow. There are a significant number of orders headed to the city and I'll have limited cuts available for walk-up traffic.
Yes, we still have a few things left at the Beef Barn. Here are two things to consider:
1) If you're used to cooking with ground beef, our chipped steak makes an excellent substitute. It's extremely thin sliced, cooks quickly, and will work for just about anything you'd use ground beef for. We made chip steak sandwiches last night and they were great. Guess what? It's in stock.
2) Are you thinking a lot about your immune system these days? Bone broth gives natural immunity a tremendous boost. We have a multitude of beautiful bones that will simmer in your biggest pot, making your home smell delicious. Upon conclusion of the simmering you'll have wholesome, tasty broth for sipping, soups, or pasta cooking, among other things. Pick up a few bones.
3) We'll have a lot more beef next week. There isn't anything coming off a delivery truck here; when we need beef, we pick more cattle off the farm. The process takes a bit, but it helps us make sure our store will remain stocked in good times and bad. Don't worry, we won't run out completely.
4) See you at the Beef Barn!
