Saturday in the Strip!

GOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, PITTSBURGH!!!!

The farm, dear friends, is coming to your neighborhood this morning, because you believe in buying food from a farmer you can look in the eye, and we believe completing that transaction should be as easy as possible. Rural rejuvenation begins at the farm level, and farmer-consumer relationships provide a strong framework that can support small farms left clinging to life as food industry consolidation tries to make human scale agriculture obsolete. Healthy farms create healthy ancillary businesses like restaurants and flour mills and craft butcher shops, and those improve the quality of life in town for Y-O-U. See how that cycle works?

Want in on the action? We'll be beside the extraordinary Bar Marco on Penn Avenue between 22 and 23 Streets from 9-12. We'll be joined by the incredible Gruber Farms Pasture Raised Meats and their selection of pork and chicken. And we recommend strolling down to 18th street to visit our friend Sturges Orchards and Farm Market. There you'll find home grown apples, home pressed cider, Sturges Hard Cider, and a plethora of jams made from fruit grown grown on the farm. Strip District trip: PLANNED.
