Henry's Farm Update, 3-16-20
Hi folks,
Henry here with your weekly farm update.
We all know certain characteristics are inherited from our parents. I got my mom’s good looks and my dad’s butt.
The lack of glutes makes it tough to get any work done. My diaper falls off each time I bend over and my crack gets filled with sawdust, corn dust, gravel, leaves, and other offenses. Walking while encumbered with a hefty quantity of driveway detritus isn’t comfortable. There’s a lot of territory for me to cover in a day, and the hitch in my giddyup slows progress considerably. I think I’ll have to get suspenders.
Today the world has a burden similar to the whole cattail stuck in my pamper: there is an annoying, unexpected, inexplicable offense that makes moving difficult. Nobody is thrilled with the distraction, but don’t forget: there is still a lot of territory to cover in a day. The world is still wonderful. Our neighbors are still good, and we can still pull together to accomplish outstanding achievements even if we feel like we’re walking around with a full load of wood chips in our underwear. We can be suspenders for one another during times of suspense.
I live in a world with absolutely no concern for what tomorrow holds; the moment we’re in is the moment I’m enjoying. Adults can learn from this child-like adoration for right here and right now. We might have to shuffle around like our cheeks are chafed from chaff for a little while, but let’s not lose heart. The Beef Barn is still stocked. Good food makes us robust and healthy. It’s a moment in time to enjoy together. We’ll see you at the farm!
Oh, hey, if you think about it, bring baby suspenders…
