I'm packing up and heading south with coolers full of BEEF from our farm for your family. You'll find our stand on Penn Avenue in the Strip between 22 and 23 Streets beside the extraordinary Bar Marco. I'm there from 9-12, so get out of bed! Our good friends Gruber Farms Pasture Raised Meats will be there too with pork and chicken. One. Stop. Local. Shopping. And a heavy dose of Clarion County pride.


This is the best day to live in Pittsburgh because today is the day your farmer gets to meet his customers. See what I did there? Everyone is always going on about YOU knowing your FARMER, but that relationship is equally important the other way around. Farmers need to realize that real, amazing, precious people are counting on the food grown by their hands. Such a close relationship places the full weight of responsible management on the shoulders of any grower worth his (or her!) salt. People make food continually better just by showing up and buying beef from a small farm. You're leaders, dear friends, whether you realize it or not.
