Take Out Tuesday: La Palapa, Pittsburgh

It's Take-out Tuesday!

Tuesdays are the day to decide where you'll be eating for the week, and this is the page to check when making the decision: we'll feature a farm friendly restaurant that offers Clarion Farms Beef on their menu. Farm-to-Table doesn't stop at the thought; it requires action to function properly, so we urge you to frequent these establishments who make the extra effort to support local farm relationships!

We met Jesus and his wife Patty at The Pittsburgh Public Market when it was still in the old Terminal Building on Smallman Street. Their small booth was beside the rowdy (and delicious) East End Brewery tasting area, and word quickly spread through the beer crowd: ‘That La Palapa place has really good food!’ I introduced myself and, thanks to the kindness of the folks behind the grill, Clarion Farms Beef was soon on the La Palapa menu. That must've been seven years ago.

Today, thanks to incredibly hard work, Jesus and his business partner Luis have expanded La Palapa to a large facility on Carson Street in the South Side. Their food is authentic Mexican and regularly pulls rave reviews from diners. You'll still find Clarion Farms ground beef featured on the menu, as well as Clarion Farms beef tongue!

Make Farm-to-Table function this week and visit La Palapa at 2224 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA. Check out their website, https://www.lapalapapgh.com/, for more information. Thank you in advance for supporting the restaurants that support our farm!
